No matter wherever you go you will definitely find some health problems and therefore even top developed countries have certain health issues that they have to look into. Although, US is considered as one of the best places to live on there are certain health problems that the government needs to look into and in recent times the United States have problems like premature birth rates that are going up all the time. Hence, the government has setup various awareness and organizations that can help women to understand how they can deal with it during the pregnancy period.
The March of Dimes is an international organization that takes care of the premature birth rate report and the March of Dimes 2011 premature birth report card reveals that US has certainly acted on the numbers that they received in the year 2006 and have declined their premature birth rates by 5% in the last three years. The report claims that preterm birth rate shows three years improvement in US and most states which is really good for women in the United States. The report also revealed that although the US government has worked hard to bring down the premature birth rates they still need to do a lot of bring it down further.
According to the latest report by March of Dimes states like Puerto Rico and other three states have got F while District of Columbia and other 11 states are far behind getting a D. There are 19 states in the US which have managed to get a C while 16 states are enjoying a B position. Vermont gets the best of all and secures an A in the report. The report also states that in 2006 the premature birth rate in the US was 12.8% which has been brought down to 12.2% in the year 2009.
